Custom Development
Your collection, engineered from the first sketch.
Bring a reference, a mood or a finished CAD. We turn it into a production-ready frame — material, construction, finish and packaging — built for your market and price point.
Who it is for
Built for brands that need more than a catalogue.
Independent eyewear brands
You have a clear point of view and need a manufacturing partner who can protect it — not water it down.
Optical retailers & chains
You want own-label frames that fit your customer, your price architecture and your in-store story.
Smart eyewear & technology teams
You need a frame partner who can integrate electronics, lenses or sensors without losing wearability.

Process
From brief to bulk, in six controlled steps.
Brief & feasibility
We review your references, target price, market and volume, then recommend the right material and construction.
Design & CAD
2D sketches, 3D modelling and technical drawings. CAD typically within 5 working days after a clear brief.
Prototype
Physical samples for fit, colour and finish. Sampling usually takes 30–45 days depending on complexity.
Validation
Wear testing, dimensional checks, lens fitting and compliance review before you sign off.
Bulk production
Production typically runs 45–80 days after sample approval and deposit, with QC at key stages.
Packaging & dispatch
Labels, cases, cartons and export documents prepared to your specification and Incoterms.
MOQ & timelines
Clear minimums, before you commit.
| Item | Standard |
|---|---|
| MOQ — acetate / metal / titanium | 300 pairs per model, including 2–3 colours. Mixed colours can be discussed. |
| MOQ — injection | 1,200 pairs per model. Tooling and colour matching are quoted separately. |
| Sampling | 30–45 days after design and material confirmation. |
| Bulk production | 45–80 days after sample approval and deposit. |
| Rush options | 7–14 days for samples and 30–45 days for production, subject to capacity. |
| Mould / tooling | Typically USD 1,200–3,000, quoted by construction; ownership terms agreed in writing. |

Timelines are indicative. Final dates are confirmed in the quotation after the brief and sample scope are fixed.
Materials
The right material for the right price point.
Acetate
Handmade and CNC acetate in Mazzucchelli M49/S70, Eastman Acetate Renew, ECO acetate and Cellulic™. Deep patterns, laminations and polished finishes.
Metal
Stainless steel and titanium in stamped, laser-cut and wire constructions, with custom plating, colour and finishes.
Titanium
Lightweight, corrosion-resistant frames for premium and performance ranges. Beta-titanium temples available.
Injection
Engineering polymers for volume programmes, sport and kids. Tooling and colour matching handled in-house.
Cellulic™ is our own sustainable acetate: around 12% lighter than conventional acetate, no BPA or DEP, with a GRS-certified recycled version and patterns covering 95%+ of the block.
Compliance & IP
Built for your market, protected at every stage.
Market compliance
CE and FDA documentation, REACH and Proposition 65 support, plus material declarations on request. Quality systems include ISO 9001, ISO 12870 and EN 12312.
Quality control
In-house QC, dimensional checks, lens fitting and third-party inspection coordination at key production stages.
Your IP stays yours
NDA on request. Customer-specific CAD, drawings, tooling and moulds can be customer-owned under a written development agreement.
Confidential development
We do not reuse customer-specific designs, branding or tooling for other clients.

FAQ
Questions brand owners ask us.
Can you work from a photo or a reference frame?
Yes. We can start from references, sketches or a physical sample, then develop the CAD and engineering around your target fit, material and price.
Do you make samples before bulk?
Yes. Sampling is a standard part of custom development. We quote sample fees and credit terms before the project starts.
What is the minimum order?
300 pairs per model for custom acetate, metal and titanium, including 2–3 colours. Injection programmes start at 1,200 pairs per model and have their own tooling structure.
Can you handle lenses and packaging?
Yes. We can source and fit lenses, and develop cases, cloths, labels and retail packaging as part of the programme.
Who owns the moulds and drawings?
Customer-specific tooling and drawings can be owned by the customer once the agreed fees are paid. The terms are set out in the development agreement.
How do you protect our designs?
We work under NDA where required and keep customer-specific CAD, tooling and branding confidential. We do not reuse them for other clients.
Tell us what you want to build.
Send your references, target quantity and market. We will come back with a practical route, a timeline and a quote.
